Rules, scored blind, 18+

Six readers, one rules page each, and nobody is told whose it is.

Treatly Club is a small panel that scores reward games and prize promotions on one thing: how honestly they explain themselves. Every rules page reaches the table with the branding stripped out. We score the same five things every time and publish the whole table, including the ones that scored badly.

Lantern Social Games

The clearest rules page we have read this year. The free entry route is in the second paragraph, redemption terms fit on one screen, and nothing is hidden behind a support ticket.

How a rules page gets scored

Same method every month, whatever the size of the operator.

01

The branding comes off

Logos, colours and product names are removed before the page reaches the table. Nobody on the panel knows whose rules they are reading until every score is locked in.

02

Five criteria, no favourites

Rules clarity, the free entry route, redemption terms, how easy support is to reach, and whether the design pushes you anywhere. We score how clearly things are explained, never how generous they are.

03

Six readers, median score

We publish the median rather than the average, so one reader who dislikes a particular format cannot sink a page that is otherwise perfectly clear.

About

Six readers, one long table, no names until the scores are in.

Treatly Club started as an argument about why some promotions explain themselves in two minutes and others take twenty. It turns out the difference is almost always in the rules page, and almost nobody compares them.

We do not operate games or promotions, we award nothing, and a high score is not a recommendation to play or to spend. It means the rules are easy to understand, which is all we measure.

We also send a weekly email with the new table. What it contains and how your address is handled is set out in full on our privacy page.

This page explains what information Treatly Club collects, what we do with it, and how to make us stop. It covers the website at treatlyclub.com and the emails we send.

Who we are

Treatly Club is an independent panel that scores how clearly reward games and prize promotions explain their own rules. We do not operate games or promotions, we award nothing, and a score is not an invitation to play or to spend. Contact us at mail@treatlyclub.com.

Email addresses: how we get yours

We only hold an email address if you gave it to us. That happens in one of two ways:

We record the date, time and page where a sign-up was made, and the moment it was confirmed, so we can show you where a subscription came from if you ever ask.

What we send

Subscribers receive a weekly email with new scores, rules changes we have spotted since the last table, and promotions that are currently open to enter. Those emails carry commercial content, including promotions run by third parties. We never send a message claiming you have won something, and we never ask for a payment, a card number, an account password or a verification code by email.

How to stop receiving email

Every email carries an unsubscribe link at the bottom. One click is enough and there is no confirmation step. You can also write to mail@treatlyclub.com with the word "unsubscribe" and we will remove you by hand.

Unsubscribes are processed immediately and always within 72 hours. After that the address stays on a suppression list, which exists only so that you are never added again by mistake. You can ask us to delete that record too.

Who else sees your address

Your address is stored with the email platform we use to send messages, which processes it on our behalf and under contract. Beyond that processor, we do not sell your address, we do not rent it, and we do not pass it to advertisers for their own use.

What else the site collects

Nothing on the score table is personalised, and reading it does not require an account.

Cookies

The site uses functional cookies needed for pages to display correctly. Blocking cookies in your browser costs you no content on this site.

Your rights

You can ask what data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for a copy, or ask for it to be deleted. Write to mail@treatlyclub.com and we will respond within 30 days. You do not have to give a reason.

Age

This site and our emails are intended for adults aged 18 or over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has subscribed, tell us and we will remove the address immediately.

Scores and right of reply

A score is the median opinion of six readers about how clearly a rules page explains itself, on the day we read it. If you operate something we scored and your rules have changed, tell us. We will read the new version and publish the second score beside the first, whichever way it goes.

Accuracy of what we publish

We describe how promotions and reward mechanics commonly work. Operators change terms, promotions close and regional rules differ. Always read the official rules of a promotion itself, which is the only version that binds anyone. Nothing here is legal or financial advice, and nothing here is a prediction of any outcome.

Trademarks

Brand names, game titles and trademarks belong to their owners and appear here for identification and commentary only.

Changes to this page

If this policy changes, the new version appears here with a fresh timestamp at the top. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the revised version.
